Correctly securing and marking danger areas and fall edges
Hazardous areas in the sense of the ASR are areas in which employees are not protected against the risk of falling or falling objects by structural measures.
If workplaces or traffic routes are located 0.2 m to 1.0 m above an adjacent surface or if there is a risk of slipping or a risk of falling or sinking into materials, the risk assessment must determine whether and which protective measures are required.
Fall protection should be implemented first and foremost structurally and secondly through personal protective equipment. In any case, a possible fall edge must be clearly recognisable.
This should be done with highly visible products in warning colours. For example, by using our warning marking products for the floor.
