According to the latest publication of the occupational accidents 2020 of the DGUV, the most frequent cause of these approx. 690,000 accidents was walking, running or similar (29.8%). In terms of the type of accident, many of these were trip, slip and fall accidents (22.3%). Only the loss of control over workpieces and objects covers a higher proportion (26.7%).
