What are actually the reasons for occupational accidents and how do I ensure the best possible occupational safety for my employees?
According to the latest publication of the occupational accidents 2020 of the DGUV, the most frequent cause of these approx. 690,000 accidents was walking, running or similar (29.8%). In terms of the type of accident, many of these were trip, slip and fall accidents (22.3%). Only the loss of control over workpieces and objects covers a higher proportion (26.7%).
This shows that despite the reduction in the total number of accidents by around 90,000 compared to the previous year, occupational safety in the company cannot be emphasized enough. In this context, the safeguarding and marking of danger points such as stairs or traffic routes play a decisive role.
