On June 8, 2021, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier christened the longest train of Deutsche Bahn’s new ICE4 fleet to date, the “ICE XXL”, with the name “Federal Republic of Germany”. For this event, the name of the train was placed in the boarding area with the help of our self-adhesive, easy-to-clean CleanGrip anti-slip covering. It is embedded in an aluminum transition profile, also from SFS, which is mounted in the vestibule flooring.
The highlight: the project, which was scheduled at short notice, was implemented within 10 days from the initial enquiry to delivery, once again demonstrating SFS‘s flexibility even in difficult procurement times.
In addition to the marking of the train name in the entrance, SFS also supplies the grey Safety-Floor Rail grau vestibule covering and the step box coverings in the entrance (also visible in the photo) for the ICE 4 project.
SFS welcomes the newest member of the ICE family and wishes a safe journey! Source (Photo Entry): Jörn Hasselmann / Der Tagesspiegel
