Laying Fleece WA-446
Field of application
The Safety – Floor WA-446 laying fleece is a double-sided self-adhesive covering for the removable installation of carpets on almost all smooth surfaces. It is also fire tested for rail vehicles in combination with our Safety-Floor Rail entrance coverings.
It features two adhesive sides with different adhesive forces and properties. The exposed adhesive side of the tape is a low tack acrylic adhesive. The covered side, on the other hand, is a strongly adhesive synthetic rubber.
In addition, the WA-446 laying fleece is equipped with a special fabric backing that is excellently anchored with the adhesive.
If the covering bonded with WA-446 has to be removed, it can be peeled off together with the installation fleece “in one piece” without leaving any residue. It can then be disposed of together with the fleece. This results in significantly lower costs compared to conventional wet bonding methods. This applies both to the installation, as the covering can be walked on immediately, and to the removal of the covering, as there is no need for subsequent removal of adhesive residues.Properties
- The backing makes it particularly stable and tear-resistant.
- The use of two sides of different adhesive strengths means carpets can be easily and completely removed from the floor, as a rule, without the laying fleece separating from the carpet.
- No drying times like with a wet adhesive process.
- No glue residues after the floor covering is removed.
